It’s getting chilly out (winter is coming!) so naturally, all I wanted to do this weekend was sit inside my cozy house, snuggled into my cozy chair, sipping warm coffee (that may or may not contain a little whiskey) and read my new book…
… of course, that isn’t what happened at all. 😜
Life was determined to drag me outside to pluck weeds in the front yard.
… prompted by one of those “Do this NOW or ye shall be sentenced to a slow and agonizing death!” postcards that my neighborhood likes to send out.
So like a good little neighbor (who hates paying fines), I hoofed it out to the front to pull up the random plants that had so arrogantly decided to call my front yard home.
They say that hard work won’t harm you…
… but I hate taking the chance.
To get me through it, I spent the time daydreaming about the house extension I SOOO want to do one day: Library with a gorgeous reading nook.
And it would fit perfectly over that section of the yard that grows the most weeds!
So everybody wins! 😁🥳😁
(Alas, when I tried to sell this line of reasoning to my husband, the response was less than enthused… next time, I should make him weed 😉)
