I don’t know about you but I spend A LOT of money on books…
… as in, book purchases have their own line in the family budget.
[**signal the eye-roll from my husband HERE**]
Not that he complains (smart man), but sometimes I can read it in the look.
That, “Really? You need another book?” look. Closely followed by the sigh that says, “But you have 10,000 million billion things to read already!” (NOTE: he has never actually said any of these things… this is all my translation of his eye-rolling)
My husband is excellent at a good number of things, but reading???
That’s my territory 😁
… and mama keeps a tight ship. Or bookcase. Whatever. Anyway…
While I might feel guilty about buying another Vera Bradley quilted purse (WHHHHY does this woman keep coming out with such cute designs?!?!) I have never regretted spending moo-la-la on books.
Reading is my one true love (… oh, yeah, and my husband)
…books are my real-life joy in the world.
… and the thing I look forward to every day when I get home from work.
Seriously, I could eat ramen noodles for months, but if an author I love is having a new release, you can bet that I’m on that like honey on a hot biscuit!
Books are serious business, my friends.
The others may not get it, or even understand, but you know as well as I that a life without reading is no life at all.
