I’m about to spread some serious book-love all over this email!
But first: A rant…
Yesterday was a crazy day at my “day job” (as it always is at the beginning of the year) … like a: non-stop, nothing-going-the-way-we-planned, how-the-heck-will-I-get-through-my-must-dos?
… that kind of day.
My mind was racing like an out of control chipmunk with to-do lists and follow-ups and putting out fires…
Then I went home, cracked open a new books…
and I realized about 30 minutes later that I was able to 100% shut off all those crazy-brain/ “need to do tomorrow” thoughts…
… because I simply sunk into that story.
It hit me in that moment: Wow. Books are powerful things. They are more than just stories….
They are the friend who distracts you when you can’t take normal life anymore.
They are the vacation days we never actually take.
They are the calm in the storm.
When life gets crazy, books are always there. ❤️❤️❤️ (And wine… but those two kinda go together 🙂
